Conveyors
Cross Wrap’s custom-built conveyors provide reliable material flow between material processing stages. Designed for durability and precision.
Print automatically labels to each bale directly at the wrapping line. Improve traceability, support logistics, and integrate with wrapper’s control system.
Cross Wrap’s innovative bale wrapping method has transformed how waste-based fuels are handled and transported. Trusted in over 600 installations, our machines have become the industry standard for wrapping, opening, and dewiring bales of mixed waste, RDF, SRF, and MSW.
The operations director of North-East-based JBT Waste Services talks RWW through the family-owned company’s multiple-waste-stream operations and skip-hire service, and its relationship with.
Geminor, a leading European recycler specializing in refuse-derived fuel (RDF), has strengthened its partnership with Cross Wrap through a new (when?) installation at its Hull facility in the UK.
Airtight packaging reduces odor, leakage, and environmental impact and makes processes cleaner. Also, long-distance transportation with protected bales is cleaner.
Tight package preserves material quality during storage and transport. By crosswrapping the baled materials, you do not only protect the working surroundings and environment from the baled material, but you do maintain the material in a better and safer package for efficient usage, storing, and logistics.
This is especially an important operation model in the Waste-to-Energy operations, where the wrapped materials are waste-based fuels such as RDF and SRF.
The wrapping keeps the alternative fuel material safely and effectively contained, and it also maintains the fuel’s calorific value better, when oxygen and moisture do not enter the baled and wrapped alternative fuel and react with it. The wrapping even helps to secure the waste fuel from combusting and lowers the fire risks during storing and transportation.
Square bales pack more material with higher density – 6 square bales equal 9 round bales. They are easier to stack, transport, and store, saving space and costs. Square bales also offer flexibility: their size, weight, and film use can be adjusted, reducing plastic consumption and boosting efficiency.
We recommend to use good quality film to reduce downtime and minimize film consumption.
It protects the environment, people, and animals from contacting the waste materials and it also maintains the wrapped material in a good condition by keeping any access moisture and oxygen from contacting it. By keeping the material isolated and covered, it also diminishes the risk for fire, because the wrapped waste material doesn’t create heat by self-combusting as loose material does.
The wrapped bales don’t litter, and they have no odors, so they are easy and clean to transport with normal hauling lorries, by trains or by ship.
The basic wrapping line wraps up to 60 bales / hour, Direct wrapper can wrap up to 45 bales / hour. Detailed bales sizes can be found from product brochure, download here.
